FAQ
Do I need an appointment?
For bridal gown shopping, an appointment is required. If you're shopping for prom, homecoming, tuxes, suits, or accessories, no appointment is required to shop. If you would like a dedicated consultant to help with reviewing selections, consider a free tux/suit selection appointment. Otherwise, come on in!
What if I need to reschedule or cancel my appointment?
You can reschedule or cancel your appointment by giving us a call/text/email. No shows and cancellations forfeit all styling and booking fees associated with the appointment.
Should I wear specific undergarments?
You may wear whatever makes you feel the most comfortable during your gown trying experience. We recommend wearing a strapless bra or pasties, which will allow you to better view the intended neckline of a gown. Some brides-to-be like to wear shapewear to easily get in and out of different dresses. Keep in mind that typically a consultant will be in the dressing room helping you to get into and out of dresses. If you know what shoes you are wearing on your big day, feel free to bring them!
Can I buy a wedding dress off the rack?
Yes! This option is always available to our brides. If timing allows, we can also special order a brand new gown just for you!
When should I purchase my bridal gown?
We recommend purchasing 9-12 months prior to your wedding date. Bridal gowns can take 5-7 months to arrive. Also, keep in mind that we recommend planning ahead for 2-4 months to complete alterations.
What does the payment process entail?
We require a minimum 50% deposit to place your order. The remaining balance is required to be paid at the time of pickup of your dress, or within 14 days of arrival. You may also pay in full at time of purchase.
Can I bring my own food and beverages into the appointment?
BOOK AN APPOINTMENTWe ask that visitors not bring outside food/beverages into the bridal suite. A standard part of each appointment (included for all bridal appointment types) is offering still or sparkling water or Propel to all guests, AND a champagne toast when the bride finds her dress!
If you have other food or drinks in mind, a VIB (Very Important Bride) appointment is a great option! In this appointment, we offer charcuterie and mimosas/white wine/white sangria and an extra 30 minutes for trying on dresses! Here is more info about booking a VIB if you are interested in upgrading your appointment.
How many guests can I bring to my bridal appointment?
You can bring up to six guests to your bridal appointment, initial bridal or very important bride (VIB). VIB appointments may include additional guests for an extra fee. If you have a VIB group exceeding six members, please contact the shop, an additional fee of $10/extra person will be added to ensure enough food and drinks are ordered.
Will I need alterations to my bridal gown?
Most often the answer is yes. After you find your perfect dress, we will take your measurements and order the size recommended for you based off of the designer's size chart. Once your gown arrives, alterations will be necessary to perfect the fit.
Are alterations included in the cost of the dress?
Alterations are an additional service and separate charge. Nearly all wedding dresses require a hem, a bustle and additional tailoring to achieve the perfect fit. Some brides even use alterations to customize sleeves, straps, necklines and other details. Alteration prices will differ from gown to gown.
